Animal Collective unveils world tour

In support of their highly anticipated release, Merriweather Post Pavillion, the guys of Animal Collective will be touring the U.S. for a month this spring. After warming up with a few U.S. dates, they will be traveling Europe in March and return to play bigger venues in North America in May and June.

The first official single off Merriweather will be "My Girls" and it will be released digitally on March 23 in the UK.  Merriweather is the first full-length release in two years and was recorded in Oxford, Miss. with producer Ben Allen.

The band's tour will kick off in D.C. on May 11 and they are expected to play songs off Merriweather, aside from their usual new and unreleased song sets.
