Bob Mould readies Life and Times for April

Twenty years after Bob Mould released his first solo album, Workbook, the punk-rock legend is readying his newest solo effort for an April 7 release on Granary Records. Life and Times will be Mould's eighth solo release, following up last year's Distinct Line.

Mould, the former frontman of the pioneering indie-rock band Hüsker Dü in the '80s as well as the college-rock favorite Sugar in the '90s, produced and mixed the album himself in his new hometown of Washington D.C. A statement on his website describes the album as honest and personal: "The album is filled with Mould's experiences in relation to friends, lovers, the world at large and himself."

Mould will be touring in support of Life and Times this spring.
