Lil Wayne will celebrate a successful year with a live performance at the biggest music award show on the planet. After walking away with eight Grammy nominations in December (the most of any performer), the MC was a shoo-in to perform at the Feb. 8 show.
Joining him as performers will be fellow nominees Coldplay, Katy Perry, Kenny Chesney and best new artist nominees the Jonas Brothers. (Cue tweens/teens squealing with delight). Perry will perform her ubiquitous "I Kissed a Girl," set against home videos of fans singing along with her. Perry fans can upload their own video to CBS.com/Grammys through Feb. 6, and the videos with the most votes will be shown during her performance.
More announcements on performers are forthcoming, but likely candidates include multiple nominees Adele, Ne-Yo, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant and, if his ego will allow it, Kanye West. To take a gander at the eye-popping ad campaign for the show (including the poster for Lil' Wayne, pictured above), head over to Pitchfork.
