For the first time in nine years, Radiohead will make a live-television appearance in the U.S. when it performs at the 51st annual Grammy Awards ceremony. The band is nominated for a total of seven awards, including Album of the Year and Best Rock Song.
Also taking a stab at reviving the awards show from recent years' craptacular ratings is Sir Paul McCartney, joined on drums by Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl. Apparently, McCartney's 2006 performance wasn't enough to woo viewers away from American Idol, resulting in an 11-year low for the ceremony. This is only his second appearance.
Other performers include a rap super-collaboration (comprised of Kanye West, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and T.I.), Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and your favorite, hot '50s pinup poser Katy Perry.
The Grammys air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 8.
