All Tomorrow's Parties announced the Sunday curator for its 2009 season. The Flaming Lips will headline festivities for the last day of the three-day event, which runs Sept. 11-13, in Monticello, N.Y. Other confirmed performers include Panda Bear, Animal Collective, Atlas Sound, Dirty Three, Suicide and David Cross.
ATP 2008 was co-curated by My Bloody Valentine. This will include two separate festivals, on opposite sides of the globe, six months apart. The Australian counterpart happens next month, and will be hosted by Nick Cave.
The Flaming Lips, meanwhile, have just released the film Christmas on Mars, to excellent reviews. The movie was seven years in the making; its soundtrack will be released sometime next summer.
But tickets for ATP are available now. Check out the official website for performance information.
