Amadou & Mariam set to embark on U.S. tour

Amadou & Mariam will hit the States in June and July. The married duo from Mali is blind and have been playing together since the '80s.

From June 2-10, the couple will perform their traditional-Mali-meets-western-music songs for a few U.S. and Canada shows. Then in July, from the 10-24, they'll open select dates on Coldplay's summer tour.

All of this is in support for their internationally successful new album, Welcome to Mali, which was originally released last November, but is dropping Stateside on March 24.
