As previously reported, Super Furry Animals will release their ninth album as a digital download on March 16 and as a physical copy on April 21 via Rough Trade. And now the restless Welsh rockers have announced the release of a documentary that follows them through the recording process of their still-untitled, forthcoming album.
"Ah! Greetings friends, join us for the next few weeks as we finish up
our new album for your ears," reads the band's announcement. "We have borrowed 4 video cameras from
friends and family and we will document events as they unfold,
hopefully with as little drama as possible."
Through four hand-held cameras and 21 episodes, the Super Furry Animals will explore the details that transpire during the recording process. Inspired by Mike Figgis's Time Code, the documentary's episodes started releasing last night (Feb. 23) at 8 p.m. GMT through the band's official website.
