John Vanderslice joins the Dead Oceans roster, plots tour

John Vanderslice will be releasing a new album, Romanian Names, under his new home at Dead Oceans on May 19. Chris Swanson, one of the label partners, reached out to Vanderslice after his music made him feel better during an apparently traumatizing day at the airport.

Vanderslice will be premiering his new material during his upcoming spring tour with The Mountain Goats in mid-March. For a sneak peek of Vanderslice live, check out his performance at the Great American Music Hall alongside the Magik*Magik Orchestra, in honor of the 10th anniversary of his Tiny Telephone Recording Studio in San Francisco.
