She bypassed 2003’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines altogether, but Terminator Salvation director McG and now Linda Hamilton herself say they are keen to have Sarah Connor return for the new movie, most likely in a voice-over.
“We are talking,” Hamilton told MTV. “I haven’t read it yet. I don’t know what direction they will go in.
“My contribution would be voiceover,” she added. “I would probably be
very happy to loan my voice depending on what the material is. Wait and
see. They’re already writing it. We’ve been negotiating it.”
McG had said last month that the idea of Hamilton's return still appealed to him.
Hamilton flatly rejected a role in the third Terminator flick when director James Cameron avoided the project and she didn’t think her character was up to snuff in the script. Terminator Salvation opens May 21.
