Of Montreal hits the road again

Of Montreal hits the road again

The last time Of Montreal hit the road in support of 2008's Skeletal Lamping, they brought something of a circus with them. Remember the coffin and shaving cream? How about the gold-masked buddhas and black-clad ninjas? Maybe the simulated hanging jogs your memory?

Regardless, it was a glittering spectacle of showmanship, proving that Kevin Barnes and Co. could put on a show that equally matched the oddity of their music. No word on what to expect this round of touring, but if the past progression of live shows is any indication, you can probably look forward to an ample increase in craziness.

In other news, Of Montreal and James Husband are releasing a split 7" as a part of Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records' singles club. The Athens-based label is also putting out singles by The Apples in Stereo, Tullycraft, Casper & the Cookies and many more.
