Silver Jews' David Berman plans cartoon compilation

Now, why would David Berman think that people who listen to indie rock want to read comics? Drag City's website recently announced that they'll be publishing The Portable February, a comic compilation book from the ex-lead silver semite.

The label will be publishing February in May as part of their "2009 explosion," which promises a cavalcade of folky albums by the Summer. It'll be Berman's first book since 1999's Actual Air, an excellent collection of poetry.
