According to the movie industry rumor mill, Bryan Singer has said he's no longer into Superman, and the Wachowski Brothers have been approached to take over the franchise.
The news comes by way of AICN based on an interview that director James McTeigue (V for Vendetta) gave to a Berlin television station. McTeigue said that a movie on the somewhat obscure DC comics character Plastic Man was supposed to be the Wachowskis' next project.
Apparently, the move away from Singer comes because Warner Brothers wants to reboot the franchise. Sounds like a reboot of a reboot, or did Superman Returns not count? Singer has said that he also wants to work on his Logan's Run remake. Here's where we would make a joke about how he'd better get the movie made before he turns 30. Alas, Singer was born in 1965.

Plastic Man? Wasn't that Routh in the last movie? LOL. Seriously, a Superman reboot sounds great. Start fresh. Rethink things. Get a better lead actor. lol. Sounds like total win.
SR wasn't a reboot. It was a continuation of the storyline from Superman I and II, and a poor one at that.
