Zach Galifianakis announces last-minute NYC gig tonight

Everybody's favorite absurdist comedian (well, ours anyway), Zach Galifianakis, announced last night via his e-mail newsletter that he'll be playing a short set tonight (Feb. 5) at the UCB theatre in New York City. Known as Variety Shac, the show will also feature, according to the newsletter, "some wonderful ladies that are too fun to describe." Admission is $5 (!) and though advance reservations are sold out, there will be a stand-by line.

Now, you might be saying to yourself, "Self, we don't live in the greater NYC area. Just what the hell are we supposed do to get our Galifianakis fix?" Not to worry, freak; there are options. You can a) watch the season premiere of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, which will air this Sunday on Adult Swim at 12:30 a.m. EST and will feature Galifianakis playing the part of "kids' acting coach Tairy Green" (sneak-peak clip here), or b) chill out for just a damn minute, as the Galifianakis newsletter ends with the note, "New tour dates coming soon."

Choose your own adventure, folks!
