Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson to sing on American Idol

It appears that Kayne West is all set to perform his new single, "Heartless," on American Idol tonight. It's not entirely surprising. In fact, it's actually a natural pairing considering American Idol is one of the most-watched shows on television and West is, well, one of the most-watched artists of our (or any other's, really) generation.

Besides, this gives the 808s & Heartbreak crooner the chance to show off his new singing/Auto-Tuning skills in front of millions of viewers. Also performing on the show is Idol alum Kelly Clarkson, who will sing "My Life Would Suck Without You."
