OK Go previews new songs as it winds up tour

March 25, 2009  |  2:35pm
After a relatively quiet few years, the band that brought you "the treadmill video" for its song "Here It Goes Again" (currently the 16th most viewed video on YouTube) is back with a tour, new songs and of course, more video madness.

First off, the band is winding up a 13-date tour throughout the month of March, and if there's one thing that can be said about this group, it's that they are pretty entertaining live (expect a bunch of lights, light-up jackets, maybe some confetti, the works). The fashion-daring foursome will preview new songs off the forthcoming follow-up to Oh No, its 2005 breakout second LP. And speaking of fashion, when talking about OK Go, there are two things that always float to the surface: videos and clothing. So it makes sense, then, the band is featured in Banana Republic's "City Stories" ad campaign, along with Sara Bareilles, Liz Phair, Chris Carrabba and a few others.

Details are vague at best regarding the new record, but it's set to release "late summer." Take that however you'd like, but if you're really hurting to see the band and aren't near any of the locations below, you can also see the guys collectively play a wedding band in the upcoming Paul Rudd film, I Love You, Man, and also in a series of videos on their official site chronicling the production of the new record.

Remaining dates:

March
25 - San Francisco, Calif. @ Great American Music Hall
27 - Portland, Ore. @ Wonder Ballroom
28 - Seattle, Wash. @ Chop Suey
