This year will mark the fourth that Pitchfork has gathered fans into Chicago's Union Park for a weekend of top-notch indie bands. Headliners have been released for the July 17-19 line-up, and it's looking pretty solid so far.
On Friday, Yo La Tengo, The Jesus Lizard, Tortoise and Built to Spill will begin the festivities. Saturday will see performances by The National, Pharoahe Monch and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Grizzly Bear, The Walkmen and Vivian Girls will top the festival off on Sunday.
Adding a layer of icing to the cake, the festival will put the set list in the hands of fans for Friday night. A new series called "Write the Night: Set Lists By Request," ensures that ticket buyers receive a confirmation e-mail that will include a link to a web page where they can vote on each band's songs they want to hear during a given set. Voting begins on March 13, the same day tickets go on sale, and continues until June 12.
