Not to be outdone by David Foster Wallace or Tupac Shakur, Roberto Bolaño may have some new literary work coming out soon, despite the fact that he's been deceased since 2003.
In the year of his death, while suffering a deteriorating liver that would eventually fail him, he told London's The Guardian that he was busy at work on a novel called 2666 (recently translated to English), another novel and a book of poetry. Reportedly, Bolano experienced a burst of writing as he neared death.
The recent discovery includes another part to 2666 (an already gargantuan novel), and two novels entitled Diorama and The Troubles of the Real Police Officer. The additional works may in fact be the novel and poetry collection that Bolaño mentioned in his interview with The Guardian (Diorama kind of sounds like a poetry collection), but all of this is still conjecture as the fact that new works have been discovered is currently unconfirmed by the agency in charge of his estate.
If the news does indeed turn out to be true, it will add to the growing list of posthumous works by Bolaño, and artists in general in 2009. Last year, Bolaño's unpublished The Third Reich was discovered among his papers.

You're missing an 'O' at the end of his first name. His name is Roberto, not Robert.
The names are used interchangeably, but you bring up a good point about consistency. Fixed, thanks!
