Roman Candle and The Deep Vibration tour together

Next month, North Carolina blues-rockers Roman Candle and Nashville up-and-comers The Deep Vibration will set off on an ambitious tour. Before they officially set out, the bands will be stopping off in Austin for SXSW.

Roman Candle's Carnival-released Oh Tall Tree in the Ear is the third album from the Chapel Hill quartet. The odd title refers to poet Rainer Maria Rilke's quiet sonnet to Orpheus, but there's nothing hushed about the group's bluesy, danceable jams. And there's certainly nothing subdued about the group's tour buddies. Nashville newcomers The Deep Vibration, touring in support of their EP Veracruz, are a quartet whose brand of dirty, country-rock is cranked up several decibels live with screaming, prostrating, leaping stage antics.

The tour is presented by Paste and Cincinnati's indie-radio station WOXY.
