If you want Samuel L. Jackson to be in your movie, the line just got a lot longer. Marvel Studios signed a nine-picture deal with the actor last week for him to play government super agent Nick Fury in a host of planned films, including Iron Man 2 and The Avengers.
Fans previously got a glance at Jackson in character at the end of Iron Man, in the obligatory franchise-baiting final scene. And in case you missed it, have a look:

in all respects, jackson is a great actor...
but COME ON!!
The films are obviously going with the Ultimate Nick Fury, a character that was based on Jackson before he was even cast in Iron Man. That version of Nick is African-American. Marvel is the one that can't seem to settle on who their characters are not Hollywood.
