The Jesus Lizard preps 7" box set for one-day-only sale

As you may have heard, The Jesus Lizard is reuniting in 2009 (with the band's original line-up, no less) for a couple of shows, including a headlining gig at England's ATP Festival. As you may also already know, this coming April 18 will see the return of Record Store Day, a salutation to your local musical watering hole. Now here's something you may not know: in celebration of both The Jesus Lizard and Record Store Day, Touch and Go Records will be releasing a special boxset of the band's singles on April 18. And now, the hook: the boxset will ONLY be available from Touch and Go on Record Store Day!

Titled INCH, the boxset is a collection of every 7" released by The Jesus Lizard on Touch and Go, all of which have been out of print for at least six years. Included is the 7" "Puss," their much-fabled split single with Nirvana. INCH tracklist:

#1. "Chrome" / "7 vs 8"
#2. "Mouthbreather" / "Sunday You Need Love"
#3. "Wheelchair Epidemic / "Dancing Naked Ladies"
#4. "Gladiator" (live) / "Seasick" (live)
#5. "Puss"
#6. "Lash" triple-7":
      i. - "Glamorous" / "Deaf as a Bat"
ii. - "Lady Shoes" (live) / "Killer McHann" (live)
iii. - "Bloody Mary" (live) / "Monkey Trick" (live)
#7. "(Fly) On (the Wall)" / "White Hole"

The band has also confirmed another performance: May 11 in London at The Forum. More tour dates will be announced soon, as well as planned future reissues. If you needed an excuse to pick up some vinyl on April 18, you've got it.
