We’re hardly immune to Troll 2, the cult epic that makes a persuasive case to be the worst movie ever made. Some just think it’s a good B movie, though perhaps "Z movie" is a more appropriate description. Others have found it, for better or worse, to be an unlikely fixture of our relationships.
Whatever the case, few of us ever imagined a “heartfelt” documentary about a dentist from Alabama who is among the movie’s stars, but that's
exactly what will premiere at the SXSW festival later this
month—paired, of course, with a twilight screening of the legendary flick itself. The doc, Best Worst Movie, explores Troll 2’s cult
base along with said dentist, George Hardy, apparently as he realizes the movie’s special status.
There’s no word on if the doc will expand its showing after the festival, but you can read more
here at the official site. The schedule for SXSW attendees:
March 14, 9 p.m. at the Alamo Lamar 1 (Troll 2 follows)
March 16, 4 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre
March 20 at 9:30 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center
