Despite Christian Bale going ballistic (no pun-intended) on set, he seems to still have what it takes to attach himself to movies. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Christian Bale joined the cast of Prisoners, and even Bryan Singer has expressed interest in directing the dark thriller.
In the film, a
small-town carpenter takes the law into his own hands after his daughter and her friend are kidnapped. Believing they are still alive, the father goes against the young detective in charge of the investigation and captures the man he
believes responsible. He then begins to torture the suspect in a desperate attempt
to find out the girl's location. As we all know, Bale can portray twisted characters perfectly as shown in The Dark Knight, The Machinist and American Psycho.
The film is slated for 2011, however, the film is currently sans director. Producers hope to find one while shopping around the script with the combo of Bale and Wahlberg.
