Marines give South Park creators unlikely gift

When all is said and done, when Kenny breathes his last breath and when the last religious/political sect cries foul, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone will have a long list of moments they can put in their treasure trove of infamy. After all, how many people can say they are equal-opportunity offenders?

But as the Telegraph reports, one moment may have already topped everything in the duo's crowning achievements. Apparently, while Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was in custody, his captors made him watch South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut, a film that depicts the former despot as gay and in a relationship with Satan. On top of that, soldiers from the U.S. Army's 4th Infantry Division sent Parker and Stone an autographed photo signed by Saddam himself. Sounds too shocking to be true, right?

Says Stone, "We're very proud of our signed Saddam picture and what it means. It's one of our biggest highlights...I have it on pretty good information from the marines on detail in Iraq that they showed Saddam the movie...Over and over again—which is a pretty funny thought...That's really adding insult to injury."

Wow. One can only now wonder if life is imitating art.

In other South Park news that's bound to upset its outspoken target, here's a clip from last night's episode:
