Alt-country veterans Cowboy Junkies, one of our picks for the 10 Best Canadian Musical Acts of All Time, and Son Volt are teaming up for an eight-date co-headlining tour this June.

Both bands have new releases to share with fans: The Junkies released the Trinity Revisted CD/DVD back in February in celebration of their 20th anniversary, and Son Volt is set to release American Central Dust on July 7 via Rounder Records.

And if the bands don't stop by a city near you this time around, you can catch them at one of their festival appearances. Cowboy Junkies are set to play the Lake Eden Arts Festival in Black Mountain, N.C., in October, and Son Volt has a show at the Rothbury Festival in Rothbury, Mich., this summer.
