Consider this another reminder that you can't get everything on iTunes. In its ongoing quest to unearth ultra-rare recordings, Atlanta label Dust-to-Digital is set to release a new photography/music collection called Take Me to the Water: Immersion Baptism in Vintage Music and Photography 1890-1950.
The hardbound, 75-page book will be accompanied with a 25-track disc of songs and sermons mastered from the original 78s produced between 1924 and 1940, featuring such acts as the Tennessee Mountaineers, Carolina Tar Heels and the Carter Family.
Dust-To-Digital has previously released myriad amazing releases, including a mass of rare gospel recordings in its Goodbye, Babylon boxset, the collection that introduced it to the world.
