With her recent departure from Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch, The Wrestler's Evan Rachel Wood now has time to dust off her fangs and join up with some Louisiana vampires. She has been cast to play a 500-year old vampire queen, Sophie-Anne, in the last two episodes of the upcoming second season of True Blood, according to Entertainment Weekly.
EW describes the character of Sophie-Anne as "charming, wily, ruthless and wise. She's a consummate diplomat who has (or had) many of history's most famous people on speed dial." Her role may extend to the third season of the show, if the series renewed by HBO.
True Blood returns for a second season HBO on June 14.
