Insound Kicks Off 7" Series With Ramones, Replacements

Indie-music retailer Insound just got a little more punk rock. The online store is currently working with record labels to bring back long out-of-print 7" singles.

And what better way to kick off the campaign than by touting The Ramones, with their three-song EP California Sun. Besides the live cover of the Rivieras' 1964 tune, the two other tracks include an early live version of "I Don't Want to Walk Around With You" and the studio version of "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend."

The second of the two lead-off singles is from the Replacements' Don't Tell a Soul. The B-side to I'll Be You may be what encouraged a second go at this record. It's a song called "Date to Church," featuring Tom Waits.

These each retail for $7.99 and are limited to 1,000 a piece. They are set to release on June 9, and can be pre-ordered.
