Gordon-Levitt and Caine join Nolan's Inception

We’ve already laid out the few details we have about Christopher Nolan’s Inception. The movie will be contemporary sci-fi action, set within the “architecture of the mind,” whatever that means. Leonardo DiCaprio will star as a businessman, Marion Cotillard as his wife, Ellen Page as a grad student and Cillian Murphy in a conspicuously undisclosed role.

Now it's been confirmed that that Michael Caine will have a role in the movie (“just a tiny part,” he says), and that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has replaced James Franco as a business associate of the DiCaprio character. Franco’s exit evidently came because of scheduling issues.

Perhaps in a bid to take advantage of Caine's notoriously big mouth about future projects, the interviewer who confirmed his part in the movie asked him for details about Inception's secret plot. He didn't take the bait. “It’ll be extraordinary; wait until you see this one,” Caine said. “I think if I say another word, he’s going to kill me.”
