Despite the enthusiasm of early fans, it seems NBC’s Kings wasn’t meant to be. After low-rated early episodes, the network went into knee-jerk containment mode, shifting the show from Sunday to Saturday, and now the series has disappeared from the current schedule altogether.
The remaining episodes of the show will air from June 13 to July 25, according to THR, which will return it to Saturday nights. It’s not clear why the series didn’t qualify for the treatment the network gave Friday Night Lights, which established a devoted early audience and was eventually saved through a novel deal with DirecTV.Regardless, as with many cult series that didn't have time to find an audience, a longer life for the series on DVD seems inevitable.

This show is great. I've gotten 3 people into it already. Everyone that I know that's watched it loves it. Maybe we can help by spreading the word.
GLad NBC is struggling when they do stupid crap like this! If you're going to try for the HBO crowd, you've gotta support the show, not talk it up; give it a great time slot, then exile it to Saturday night hell when the audience doesn't immediately find the show. Perhaps they should remember that Cheers was DEAD LAST in the ratings its first year!
