Prince's £1,500 coffee table book for sale

Earlier this year, we reported on Prince's plans to release three very, um, unique, albums via a major retailer. Now that all of the discs are available as a package at Target for an incredibly cheap $11.98, it only makes sense that Prince would want to move on to bigger, more expensive things.

As the Guardian reports, the perplexing purple one appears to have one more release up his sleeve this year—one that will make you dig a little deeper into your pockets. 21 Nights: The Prince Opus, a limited edition coffee table book, rings up at £1,500 or $2,229 if you're looking to buy the book from this side of the pond.

Yes, the price is indeed steep, but before you freak out, know that this book is probably more luxurious than the very cars most Prince-lovers drive.

Weighing in at two-feet wide and 17 kg, the Nights boasts 280 pages of superior silk grade paper filled with  lyrics, poetry and photographs by Randee St Nicholas, all bound in a leather exterior. And of course, the package comes encased in a purple velvet box. Included is an engraved iPod, loaded with Prince's Indigo Nights live album and a 40-minute film documenting Prince's 21-night residency at the O2 Arena.

But WAIT, there's more! On top of all of the neat stuff above, one buyer will win a flight to Los Angeles for a private Prince show. Want to be that person? You better act fast—only 950 sets will be available.
