The Roots, Common and Big Boi to headline Rock the Bells 2009

Annual hip-hop festival Rock the Bells has finalized its 2009 lineup, with Common, Nas & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, The Roots, Big Boi and House of Pain headlining. Although dates, venues and a few more performers are forthcoming, the cities hosting this year's event include Chicago, Toronto, Washington D.C., Boston, New York, Denver, San Francisco, Miami and Vancouver.

The Rock the Bells MySpace put up a request for votes as to who fans would like to see in the 2009 lineup, and according to one of the site's commenters, DannyBoy, they did a good job: "AHHH THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO US!!" he raved. Other comments rated the lineup as "ill" and "sick," so it seems to be getting some street-lingo love.
