Some Slumdog Millionaire DVDs released incomplete

Some Slumdog Millionaire DVDs released incomplete

After a loud, fussy push to remove special features from rental DVDs to encourage more people the buy, Fox is in an embarrassing position: Now, a number of retail copies of Slumdog Millionaire reportedly don’t have the promised features.

Fox has set up a hotline to send a replacement disc to those affected (1-888-223-4FOX, if that’s you). The screw-up seems to be on a limited number of discs, but the real reason this stings is because Slumdog is one of the first movies released on DVD under Fox’s new policy.

To be fair, though, it has been a pretty bad couple of days over there. Fox is also currently dealing with the fact that a high-quality version of one of its prominent upcoming titles, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, recently leaked online a full month before release.
