With the success of Slumdog Millionaire and its massive Oscar sweep, it comes as no surprise that another Vikas Swarup book, Six Suspects, is being adapted to the silver screen. Due to start shooting next year, Suspects centers around six individuals who may or may not have murdered politician’s son and playboy Vivek “Vicky” Rai.
According to Screen Daily, Swarup's Six Suspects has obtained a $15 million budget from its developers, BBC Films, and it will be set in Delhi once again. Billed as a “Agatha Christie meets Elmore Leonard” film, Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge is in charge of the script.
