Iron & Wine, Gillian Welch Headline No Depression Fest

In case you somehow haven't heard by now, Summer festival season is upon us. While most of the major festivals around the country have announced their massive lineups, including Lollapalooza, Sasquatch!, and Bonnaroo, there are still some worthy stragglers. Enter the No Depression Festival.

The fest will be held Saturday, July 11 at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Wash. and tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 15, for a mere $45. The all-day event features Iron & Wine and Gillian Welch as headliners along with Patterson Hood & The Screwtopians, Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Seattle Roots-Music All-Star Revue, and Zee Avi.

Once a bi-monthly music magazine focusing primarily on Americana, No Depression has transitioned onto the Internet and become a community-oriented website that will soon house the magazine's past content for free. They have also partnered with the University of Texas' to release a collection of book-a-zines; the second one is out now and the third one planned for later this year.
