Gonzales Breaks Guinness World Record with 27-Hour Concert

And you thought sitting through a Phish show took patience.

Arts&Crafts recently announced that one of their artists has shattered the world record with one epically long concert. Gonzales (also known as Jason Beck) broke the world record for "Longest Concert by a Solo Artist" on May 18, performing over 200 songs in a Montmartre, Paris, theater.

The Canadian pianist and born entertainer vowed not to repeat any of the songs he performed (not wanting to sound like "a broken record"), and his repertoire ranged from classical music to Britney Spears. According to Guinness, Gonzales also ate cereal with one hand, conducted television interviews, and took online requests for songs, all while playing his piano.

The previous record was held by Prasanna Gudi, an Indian artist who performed for 26 hours and 12 minutes. After Gonzales began his show at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, he stuck to the stage for an astounding 27 hours, 3 minutes and 44 seconds.
