Despite Twilight and its vampires reigning the tween/teenage world right now, Harry Potter fever seems to still be very much alive. The J.K. Rowling best-selling series is set to come alive at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry in an exhibition housed in tents on the front lawn of the museum.
The exhibition consists of a recreation of the magical shopping strip where Harry was introduced to magic in the first book of the series as well as classrooms from Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The replica of the dining hall even features the iconic floating candles and among the artifacts displayed includes Harry's circular-framed glasses as well as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's wand.
Directed by Anne Rashford, the exhibit is open through September and, depending on its success, might be hosted by other institutions. Check out the guide to the exhibit and how to get tickets here.
