Whatever your opinion of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, we can all agree that the show's latest on-air cause is irrefutable: A Saved by the Bell reunion needs to happen immediately. Or at least by August, which will mark the 20th anniversary of the series' debut in 1989.
Through regular skits, Fallon has half-seriously pushed for the
original cast members to reunite on his show. (So far, he's nabbed Lark
Voorhies and Dennis Haskins, who played Lisa and Mr. Belding respectively. Oh, and
Mario Lopez!) Fallon has treated the campaign roughly the way Conan did
old clips from Walker, Texas Ranger, but obviously the stakes here are
far higher.
Seriously, though, even if Fallon is stretching it a little
thin, this would be the best high school reunion ever. We’ll keep
you posted.
