Zach Braff Swings to Helm New Film

One of Hollywood's biggest over-achievers, Zach Braff, has recently announced his latest project, a comedy for Paramount Pictures titled Swingles.

Braff first showcased how adept he is at juggling on-set roles with 2004's Garden State. The film major wrote, directed, and starred in the movie.

His credits for Swingles will look very similar; the only difference being that Braff will be rewriting the script rather than producing his own original work. Duncan Birmingham wrote the spec, about a bachelor who pairs up with a woman who gets on his nerves simply because he believes she will serve as the perfect wingwoman in his quest to find a mate. Jeff Roda then worked on the script before Braff took it over.

According to Variety, Cameron Diaz has agreed to play Braff's sarcastic sidekick. No start date has been set for the film, but given the busy schedules of the two stars (Braff is wrapping up work on New York, I Love You and Scrubs, while Diaz is rumored to star in next year's Bobbie Sue), it could be awhile.
