In a positive turn of events, Relix magazine, which was on a hiatus, has been bought and resurrected by a group of investors, the newly formed Relix Media Group.
Three months earlier, the publisher of Relix, Zenbu Media, put the publication and two other magazines (Metal Maniacs and Metal Edge) on temporary hiatus. Says Relix editor Josh Baron to Folio, "I thought there was a good chance we were done."
Relix Media Group also acquired two websites in the deal, Relix.com and JamBands.com
Relix began as a fanzine in 1974, catering mainly to Grateful Dead fans. It is currently published eight times a year.
