Spike Jonze’s epically delayed version of Where the Wild Things Are appears to be on the home stretch, and the director set up a blog to chronicle the production’s final days and "shed some light on many of the small influences that have converged to make this massive project a reality."
Through several weeks of posts by Jonze and other authors, the
blog, We Love You So, has strayed from the movie and headed into random
musings about Miranda July, the cult British film Paperhouse and Flickr
pictures of an exceedingly cute child in a WTWTA costume. Jonze also recalls a time he nearly drowned as he
attempted to film a cameo in Adaptation.
Which is to say, entertaining stuff. Granted, there’s not an enormous amount of insight into the actual movie, but the blog is still a good read. And a nice way to pass the time until the movie actually sees the light of day.
