Steve Earle Preps for North American Tour

May 7, 2009  |  3:00pm
In support of his forthcoming album Townes (dropping next Tuesday, May 12, via New West Records), Steve Earle plans to put on his walking boots and kick up some dust around the country this Summer. The tour will kick off on May 28 in Portsmouth and continue through Philadelphia, DC, Atlanta, Nashville and Houston.

Townes is Earle's tribute to his mentor, the late Townes Van Zandt. Earle's wife, Allison Moorer handles backing vocals on several tracks and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, etc.) is featured on electric guitar.
