As far as sitcoms go, we like to think it's fairly uncontroversial to say that Arrested Development is the best of the last few decades. And given its cult-classic status, it's unsurprising that demands for a movie version are reaching a fever pitch. So while obsessives are screaming "COME ON!" for the movie to get rolling, some super fans have decided to craft an Arrested Development movie of their own: a cross-country documentary exploring the genius of the Bluth Family and the fan culture that sprung up around it.
Enter Neil and Jeff, two fans who brainstormed the idea on a road trip to Yosemite, where they ended up quoting the show to each other nonstop. The stated goal of the documentary is to "provide awareness and education of this brilliant, witty and original comedy." VoilĂ the final trailer for Arrested Development Doc; peep the rest of them at the Pics-N-Clips section of the website and taste the happy:
No solid info yet on precisely when it's coming out; earlier trailers had indicated a summer 2009 release, but that seems to have been pushed back for now because of a "last-minute interview." Still, the announcement for this trailer says that the movie should be on its way soon.

I can't wait for this! Well... the movie, but this looks great as well!
Finally acknowlegdement to a wonderfully written series that surprised me every week with its vivid characters and unique family satire. Equal credit is due for the actors/actresses who brought their own individuality to each character, the creator/writers who have us begging for more, and to the fans who pushed for more of this brilliant show.
