If you've been following David Lynch's involvement with Dark Night of the Soul, you know that the album didn't turn out quite as planned. Fans of the dark horse filmmaker have little reason to worry, though, because the dude is more resilient than an Arrakeen sandworm. Case in point, Lynch has just announced his next venture: a documentary series called "The Interview Project."
The web series consists of interviews conducted during a 70-day, 20,000-mile road trip across the length and breadth of the U.S. undertaken by Lynch's son Austin and a documentary crew, which were transformed into a series of lively vignettes and portraits. The episodes will be posted to the project's website every three days. Lynch recently announced the project via YouTube:
There's only one clip posted so far, a poignant conversation with Jess, a veteran who's trying to repair his trailer so he can live alone in the deserts of the southwest. File this one under "extremely promising," and bookmark it on Twitter and Facebook.
