Dead Body Found at Bonnaroo Site

Dead Body Found at Bonnaroo Site

The body of a mid-20s white male was discovered at the Bonnaroo site on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. Workers were clearing the 700-acre farm of debris when they discovered the body in a single tent. This is the seventh death in Bonnaroo's eight-year history.

Although the festival came to a close at the end of Phish's concert in the wee hours of Monday morning, sheriff's deputies have determined that the man had been alive up until 3 p.m. on Monday. The Coffee County sheriff's office have not yet determined whether the man was a volunteer or a festival attendee, but they did state that many volunteers camped out after the concertgoers had left in order to clean up.

At the time of this writing, the sheriff's deputies have not released an identity nor a cause of death, and have not yet received any missing persons reports. According to the Shelbyville Times-Gazette, Coffee County Sheriff Steve Graves said that there was no suspected foul play, and that the medical results would be available on Wednesday morning.
