Hey, Did You Know They Spent a Lot of Money on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?

There is only one word on the minds of the people tasked with marketing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: huge.

How huge? Well, in Hollywood logic, a sequel should be twice as big as the original. Not this one. Director Michael Bay has always been obsessed with size (open to interpretation!), and it seems even he's outdone himself here. We haven’t seen the movie yet, bless our souls, but a trusty publicist has provided us some figures to contemplate.

For instance, the original Transformers has 14 robots in it. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has 46 robots in it. Whoa!

From there, things start to get a little ominous. “Trans1 took 20 Terabytes of disk space,” the studio claims. “Trans2 took 145 Terabytes. Seven times bigger!” Somewhere, a Paramount intern forced to crunch those numbers doesn’t find this as funny as we do.

Elsewhere, Optimus Prime will be life size on IMAX screens that are actually IMAX screens. If you were to lay out all the parts of Devastator, a villain in the new movie, they would sprawl out for 13.84 miles. Seriously, how is that even measured?

These mysteries of blockbuster excess and more will become available to the public next Wednesday, when the movie opens. It will, we suspect, be huge.
