Jayhawks Prep Anthology, Reissue; Olson and Louris Tour

The Jayhawks recently announced the upcoming release of their anthology Music from the North Country on American/Legacy. This first-ever Jayhawks retrospective will be available as a single disc featuring the best of the Jayhawks' studio albums, or as a double-disc set with an additional CD full of b-sides, rare tracks and previously-unreleased material.

Although the band officially called it quits four years ago, original Jayhawks songwriting duo Mark Olson and Gary Louris reunited in the studio in 2007 for a handful of tracks on Olson's solo album The Salvation Blues. This served as a preview for their collaborative full-length Ready for the Flood, released early this year, and for the tours that would follow. Olson and Louris are currently on the road playing Jayhawks classics and new duets throughout Europe.

Following the July 7 release of Music from the North Country, this fall will see the reissuing of the Jayhawks' entire catalog and an Olson-Louris September mini-tour in New York City.
