Matisyahu Embarks on Interactive Road Trip

If you thought you heard the sound of hip-hop with a decidedly Hebraic bent lately, it wasn't your imagination. Matisyahu, the cream of the Hasidic rapping crop, is on a big 'ol cross-country tour. Of course, no tour can hit every venue of note in the lower 48, so for those of you who might not get the chance to see him live, Matisyahu has been posting video updates from his RV and at various locales on his tour-cum-roadtrip.

Of course, that's only one part of this venture. Devotees should stay glued to his Twitter feed, because he'll be announcing his location every day to give fans a chance to come meet him in person to hand out photos and autographs, and some lucky ones will even get the chance to board his RV for an early listen of his forthcoming LP, Light.

The Matisyahu road trip is available in play-at-home format at WheresMatis.at, where you can watch the trip's progress, not to mention his daily (actually, hourly might be more accurate) video blog. Light is due out Aug. 25 on Epic Records.
