Update: Michael Jackson passed away Thursday evening.

According to reports that originated with TMZ, Michael Jackson is currently in a Los Angeles hospital following cardiac arrest. TMZ spoke with one of Jackson's family members who said Michael is in "really bad shape." Additionally, Jackson's father, Joe, said his son is "not doing well."
Jackson, 50, was reportedly taken to the hospital by ambulance today around 12:30 p.m. PST. The Los Angeles Times reports that he was not breathing when he was picked up.
A former Paste cover subject, Jackson was preparing for a series of 50 sold-out shows at London's O2 Arena beginning July 8.
