We've reported previously on the all-star, international cast and crew for Steven Spielberg's latest endeavor, The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. And now, the final piece of the puzzle, the film's release date, has fallen into place.
Unfortunately, those of us in the U.S. will have to wait a little longer than the rest of the world to catch the flick. Tintin is set to open in most places around the globe in late October or early November 2011, but not until Dec. 23, 2011 in the States. Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment, which are handling the distribution of the film, believe that it will enjoy more international than domestic success. After all, not only is most of the cast international, but the Tintin graphic novels, which were originally written in French, have been translated into about 50 different languages.
In addition to setting a release date, Paramount and Sony announced that the much-talked-about possibility of releasing the film in 3D will be a reality.
