Those Vivian Girls sure have stayed busy since we last checked up on them. Last October, the gals were snatched up by fantastic garage-rock imprint In the Red, who released their self-titled debut after its original issue was gobbled up by fans (copies were bought on eBay for $100).
Vivian Girls have now announced plans to unleash their reverb-drenched
sophomore effort, Everything Goes Wrong, on Sept. 8. Whew ladies,
take a breather.
Bassist Kickball Katy told Pitchfork that the band shows no sign of slowing down, especially in terms of song structure. "We're aiming for around 35 minutes," she said. "So
you'll probably still be able to plow through the whole Vivian Girls
album on your morning commute."
